  1. Hi, I’m Teaghan, I’m 12 years old and I read your books Lost Children, Time Zero and Time Next! I LOVED them they were the best books I’ve ever read. You are my favorite author ever. In class after I finished my work I would read your books for as long as I could. Before I saw/read Lost Children I wasn’t really interested in reading but afterward I saw how fun it is to read and it’s so fun to imagine what everything looks like and the personality of the characters. I can’t wait till the third Time Zero and Ida and the Unfinished City comes out. After I read your books I felt like Mina and Josephine and all the others characters from both series were like family to me. I finished the books in a couple days. I really hope you get this! Thank you so much for opening my eyes to the new reality of reading! I feel like I’ve known you for so long but I’ve never even met you, but I hope someday I can! It’s hard to stop typing because it feels like I have so much more to say but I have to stop sometime so …… sincerely Teaghan Earle ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  2. Dear Carolyn Cohagan,

Hi. My name is Lea and I am 16 years old. I was just 10 when I purchased your book, The Lost Children, through a scholastics magazine passed around my classroom. The minute I opened it, I couldn’t get my eyes off of it. I read in class, I read on the bus, at night with a flashlight hidden under my bed… I couldn’t stop reading and I finished it in three days. I was amazed by the story, and I fell in love with the characters despite having never gotten closure on what happened to poor Ida. Upon moving to Mexico at the age of 12, I fell into depression and stopped reading like I did when I was younger. Three days ago, whilst cleaning my room, I fell upon your book and couldn’t resist the urge to open it again. I just finished it and I am in tears by it’s ending. Your book is simply beautiful. I know that I am perhaps too old to read it, but to this day, it remains my favorite book and I think that finishing this book today, has been the beginning of snapping out of my depression and becoming the child I used to be.
Your book inspires me on so many levels and I am forever thankful you wrote it.
I hope you get this e-mail.
    Thank you so much.

  3. Will Ida and the Unfinished City be finished/published soon? I’ve been waiting for almost 6 years ever since I finished reading The Lost Children, as it has been my favorite book ever since. I’d love to read the second series and relive my childhood memories. I love your work!!

  4. Hi!
My 12 year old daughter read Time Zero and I decided to read it too. It’s difficult to keep up with her as many of the books she wants to read don’t have reviews yet and as a parent it’s hard to determine how appropriate they are for young adults in terms of sexual content if the book isn’t reviewed on Common Sense Media or something similar to this website. Since she beat me to this book, I was happy to discover you created a romantic relationship without exposing your readers to sexual content with which I would be uncomfortable to exposing my daughter. Thank you for providing this incredible story with valuable lessons about what many girls are facing around the world. When do you anticipate completing the next book and do you plan for it to be appropriate for a 12/13 year old? We are eagerly awaiting more of your writing!
    Sincerely,
    Patty
